1. Event Liability and Safety

⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY DISCLAIMER

IMPORTANT NOTICE: In light of recent tragic incidents including the Delhi bomb blast in November 2025, we express our deepest condolences to all affected families and victims. The current security environment remains unpredictable and poses inherent risks.

By attending HackDefence Summit 2026, you acknowledge and accept ALL risks associated with participation in this event.

The organizers of HackDefence Summit 2026 shall NOT be held responsible for:

  • Any terrorist attacks, bomb threats, or security incidents at or near the venue
  • Kidnapping, abduction, or any criminal activity targeting attendees
  • Missing persons or attendees who become lost or separated
  • Any personal injury, accident, or medical emergency that occurs during the event
  • Loss, theft, or damage to personal property including laptops, devices, or belongings
  • Any financial losses incurred due to attendance at the event
  • Travel delays, missed connections, or accommodation issues
  • Food allergies, food poisoning, or dietary restrictions not communicated in advance
  • Natural disasters, fires, evacuations, or emergency situations
  • Assault, harassment, or any harm caused by other attendees or third parties
  • Any mishaps, accidents, injuries, losses, theft, or incidents of ANY nature that may occur while traveling to or from the event, or during any event-related activities

YOU ATTEND AT YOUR OWN RISK

By attending the event, you acknowledge that you participate at your own risk and agree to hold the organizers, HackDefence, its partners, sponsors, and staff completely harmless from any and all claims, damages, injuries, or losses. All participants travel and attend at their own risk and responsibility. You are solely responsible for your own safety, security, and well-being.

2. Code of Conduct and Behavior

🛡️ Strict Enforcement Policy

Zero tolerance policy for misconduct:

  • Harassment or inappropriate behavior towards any participant, volunteer, speaker, or staff member
  • Disruptive conduct including excessive noise, interrupting sessions, or disturbing other attendees
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or any other protected characteristic
  • Illegal activities including but not limited to unauthorized network access or malicious hacking
  • Violations of venue rules or failure to follow staff instructions

⚡ IMMEDIATE CONSEQUENCES: Any individual found engaging in misconduct will face immediate removal from the premises without refund. Serious violations may result in legal action and permanent ban from future events.

3. Refund and Cancellation Policy

✅ Event Cancellation by Organizers

  • Full ticket refund will be provided within 14 business days
  • Refund covers ticket price only
  • NOT covered: Travel expenses, accommodation costs, meals, or any incidental expenses
  • Refunds processed to original payment method

❌ Attendee Initiated Cancellation

  • NO REFUNDS for participant-initiated cancellations
  • All ticket sales are final
  • No exceptions for personal emergencies, schedule conflicts, or travel issues
  • Tickets are non-transferable to other events

4. Registration and Payment Terms

  • All registrations must be completed with valid identification
  • Payment must be made in full before event access is granted
  • Photo ID required for entry verification
  • Age restriction: Participants must be 16+ years old
  • Corporate group bookings subject to separate terms

📋 Aadhaar Card Verification Requirement

  • At RVPS Desk: You must have your physical Aadhaar card at the RVPS Desk for verification during check-in. Failure to present your Aadhaar card may result in denial of entry without refund.
  • Mandatory Requirement: Aadhaar card verification is mandatory for all participants to ensure security and authenticity of attendees.

5. Intellectual Property and Content

  • Recording or photography may be restricted in certain sessions
  • Presentation materials remain property of respective speakers
  • Event organizers reserve rights to use event photos/videos for promotional purposes
  • Sharing of sensitive cybersecurity information outside the event is prohibited

By purchasing a ticket and attending HackDefence Summit 2026, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and the event organizers.
